Sports Medicine Essentials - An Interactive Course

  • Dates: 05 – 10 Feb, 2019
  • Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
This course will focus on sports medicine issues (concussion, PPE, exercise is medicine, injury prevention), MSK clinical areas/applications; i.e., exam, imaging, treatments (rehab injections, etc.), ortho specific area (when to refer, arthritis management/joint replacement, etc.).

This course goes beyond didactic lectures by including interactive opportunities with small groups, examination stations (case-driven with video demonstration), case presentations, clinical scenarios and specific opportunities to interact with the faculty.

Target Audience:  Primary care and specialty physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, athletic trainers and other healthcare providers managing the care and prevention of sports injuries in the community and with sports teams.
