Volunteers
Volunteers play a vital role in the Central States ACSM Regional Chapter. All current chapter members are invited to express an interest in serving on any chapter committee or running for an elected office. Members are also invited to nominate colleagues for officer positions as well.
Interest may be indicated any time throughout the year by emailing Central States.
Positions and Committees
Listed below are Central States Board of Director positions:
Past-President: 1 position, 1 year term
President: 1 position, 1 year term
President Elect: 1 position, 1 year term
Secretary: 1 position, 3 year term
Graduate Student Representative: 1 position, 2 year term
State Representative - Arkansas: 1 position, 3 year term
State Representative - Kansas: 1 position, 3 year term
State Representative - Missouri: 1 position, 3 year term
State Representative - Oklahoma: 1 position, 3 year term
Regional Chapter Representative: 1 position, 3 year term (appointed by the President with majority vote from the board of directors)
Executive Director: 1 position, 3 year term (recommendation from President and Past-President with majority vote from the board of directors)

Annual Meeting Planning Committee: Chair is Past-President, 3 additional positions, 1 year term
Quiz Bowl Committee: 1 Chair, 2 additional positions, 1 year term
Sponsorship Committee: 1 Chair, 3 additional positions, 3 year term
Nominating Committee: 1 Chair, 1 State Representative from each state (see position above), 3 year term
Awards Committee: 1 Chair, 3 additional positions, 3 year term
Communications Committee: 1 Chair, 3 additional positions, 3 year term
Membership and Member Services Committee: 1 Chair, 3 additional positions, 3 year term
Leadership and Mentorship: 1 Chair, 3 additional positions, 3 year term
Exercise is Medicine (EIM): 1 Chair, 2 state members from each state, 3 year term
Student - Exercise is Medicine: 1 Chair is Graduate Student Representative, 1 student member from each state. This is a sub-committee of Exercise is Medicine.
