AMSSM/ACSM Breaking Barriers Research Grant | Clinician Research Grant

The American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM) Foundation and the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) are proud to announce a new collaboration: the Breaking Barriers Research Grant. This grant opportunity is open to physician members and is designed to support innovative research focused on the health and wellbeing of traditionally underrepresented communities in sports medicine. The purpose of this grant mechanism is to foster research that can “break barriers” and grow the evidence base supporting historically underserved communities within sports medicine

Eligibility:
  • The Principal Investigator (PI) of the grant must be an AMSSM or ACSM physician member (MD/DO or international equivalent) at the time of application.
  • If selected as a grant recipient, the PI must be a member of both AMSSM and ACSM throughout the 2-year funding period. ACSM chapter membership alone does not fulfill this requirement.
