Industry Presented Webinar | Supporting Female Athletes: An Evidence-Based Toolkit to Optimize their Health & Performance

April 10, 11 am – noon EDT

ACSM and GSSI present “Supporting Female Athletes: An Evidence-Based Toolkit to Optimize their Health & Performance” As participation in female sports continues to rise, the health of female athletes has taken center stage. At the same time, research into the nutrition and hydration needs of female athletes is rising. Staying up to date with the latest, evidence-based information enables scientists and practitioners to not only understand the science but also apply it in practical ways, empowering athletes to enhance both their performance and overall well-being.

The Gatorade Sports Science Institute (GSSI) has had a mission of helping athletes optimize their health and performance through research, innovation, education and service in hydration and nutrition science – including with female athletes – for almost 40 years.

In this presentation you will hear directly from GSSI scientists who specialize in the female athletes as they:

  • Provide the latest hydration and fueling recommendations for female athletes
  • Review the latest research on energy availability and menstrual cycle
  • Provide an overview of a toolkit that GSSI have created for practitioners that provides evidence-based recommendations to support the well-being and performance of female athletes
