International Student Award

The International Student Award recognizes research of students from countries outside of the United States and assists with travel expenses to present their scholarly work during the ACSM Annual Meeting. The awards will be determined by the quality of the research in basic or applied science. 

Eligibility: 

  • Applicants must be an ACSM national member in good standing before applying. ACSM chapter membership alone does not fulfill this requirement.  
  • Open to students enrolled in full-time programs. Applicants must not hold a terminal degree of any type (Ph.D., Ed.D., M.D., DPH, etc.) at the time of application. 
  • Applicants must be the first author and presenter of an abstract accepted at the ACSM Annual Meeting. 
  • Applicants may not currently reside in the United States and/or be citizens of the United States. Previous International Student Award winners are not eligible to apply.

Award Requirements:

  • Winners are encouraged to attend the ACSM Honors at the ACSM Annual Meeting.
