ACSM’s From Around the Field Science Webinar Series Open to Students
ACSM’s From Around the Field Science webinar series is designed to provide ACSM students and members with an opportunity to learn about the diverse science our members conduct. Join us for informal discussions with our ACSM members to hear more about what they study, the general research methodology they use, and some of the interesting results their research is generating.
In October, Christina Master, MD, FACSM, Melissa K. Kossman, PhD, ATC, LAT and Erica Taylor, PhD, FACSM will present “SDoH – Raising the Standard.” This webinar will highlight how intentional examination of social determinants of health elevates the standard of sports medicine by ensuring we consider people, not just problems. Learn how social and environmental conditions shape health outcomes, participation in sport and physical activity, access to care, and research engagement. Viewers will gain how understanding the communities they serve can improve the relevance, effectiveness, and equity of sports medicine practice and research.
Join us on Oct. 14 from Noon – 1 p.m. ET for this interesting discussion. This event is FREE for ACSM members.
