Still time to register for ACSM’s October From Around the Field webinar
ACSM’s science webinar series, From Around the Field, is designed to provide ACSM students and members with an opportunity to learn about the diverse science our members conduct. Join us for informal discussions with our ACSM members to hear more about what they study, the general research methodology they use, and some of the interesting results their research is generating.
In October, Tamerah Hunt, PhD, ATC, FACSM, Erica Taylor, PhD, and Melissa Kossman, PhD will present on the social determinants of health (SDoH). This presentation will highlight the ACSM pronouncement in the intentional examination of SDoH that drives the clinical and research standard in sports medicine to consider people, not solely problems. Join in to learn how this ACSM Call to Action statement challenges the field to move beyond awareness and into intentional action, embedding SDoH into research, education, and decision making to drive meaningful, equitable improvements in sports medicine.
Join us on Wednesday, Oct. 14 from Noon – 1 p.m. ET for this interesting discussion. This event is FREE for ACSM members.
